Set of Eight Chippendale style mahogany dining chairs (6 + 2), each with a carved serpentine top rail over a carved and pierced gothic splat; the slip seats on square legs joined by H-stretchers.

The armchairs are slightly bigger then the sides, as visible in the photos.

These beautiful chairs date to the early 19th c. They're made from dense, heavy mahogany, the type of which had been mostly exhausted by the mid/late 19th century. The glue blocks and corner braces confirm the earlier date.

Condition: Wonderful condition, with fine color and patina. Sturdy and ready to go. The leather seats have a few scuffs and scratches, as expected, but there are no rips or tears.
